Home Organizing
If there's a space in your home that needs to be organized or re-organized, I can help you make it awesome! Be it a kitchen, a bedroom, a closet, a play room, or any other part of your home, we can make your space more livable and efficient.
Spaces Small and large
I am always happy to help you organize your space using items you already have in your home. Boxes, bags, racks, and other things can be repurposed into new storage solutions. However, some spaces will require a bit of modification to maximize their potential storage space.
We can work with what you have, or you can choose additional shelving, racks, storage boxes, or other items to organize your belongings.
Shopping for Storage Solutions
In the course of our organizing work, we might determine that you need extra items to complete your organization project. Things like shelving, storage boxes, hangers, hooks, etc., can all help make your organized space a reality. (Or maybe you just really want all your shoeboxes to match!)
I am happy to shop with you for these things, or to shop for them myself. Either way, the shopping is billed at my current hourly rate. If I purchase the items without you present, the cost of the items will be added to your overall cost for the project. There will be no additional markup on them, and receipts will be provided.
choosing storage solutions
I have no ties of any kind with any manufacturer or company which produces storage solution products. I do not endorse any particular brand. My goal is to help you find the storage solutions and organizing systems that work with your space and your budget.
Downsizing
Paring down your belongings can be a real challenge. I can help you sort through your things and decide what should stay, and what should go. How? That's up to you! I will always respect your wishes and decisions with respect to your belongings. I will never urge you to get rid of an item that you are not ready to let go of.
During our initial consultation, we will discuss your needs and desires with respect to your belongings. If you want to seriously pare down your stuff, and want me to help you through the process of letting go, then that's what we will do. If you want to keep the majority of your possessions, and want me to help you find a storage solution that will allow you organize them, then that's what we will do.
Bear in mind, though: the size of your home will play a part in how much stuff you can store!
Moving
Moving to a new home can be an exciting and stressful time. It can also be an opportunity for you to consider what should come with you to your new home, and what should find a new home of its own.
I can help you sort through and pare down your belongings in the lead-up to a move, and I can also assist you with packing boxes for moving or storage.
When you arrive in your new home, I can help you unpack and figure out how to arrange your new living space!
Carting It Away
Once we've sorted through your possessions and decided what stays and what goes, I am happy to take the extras away and drop them off at a location of your choosing.
donation centers
There are many different options for donating your clothing and household items. Consider which organizations you would like to support with your donation.
consignment shops
Consignment shops can be a great option if you want to try to get a bit of cash back for your nicer clothing and shoes. Bear in mind, though, that different shops have different criteria for accepting items. Most consignment shops accept only items that are in season, and often they require a minimum number of items for first-time consigners.
Please Note: Current hourly rates apply if you would like me to take your items to a donation center or consignment shop.
